The Medical Billing and Coding program at Pittsburgh Career Institute (PCI) features a well-rounded curriculum that prepares students for a career in health care administration. This diverse program trains students in current billing regulations and procedures, ICD-10 and CPT coding, insurance verification and more. Classroom teaching is provided by instructors with years of health care industry experience, equipping students with the practical knowledge that employers value.
Following the completion of classroom requirements, students will be required to apply their skills and knowledge during a supervised clinical externship, working in a medical office setting. Graduates of this 10-month program will earn a Diploma in Medical Billing & Coding and should have the necessary skills to seek an entry-level position with a wide range of employers.
