The Medical Assistant Diploma program at Pittsburgh Career Institute (PCI) is designed to prepare students to perform both clinical and administrative functions alongside physicians and other medical personnel. In the dynamic core curriculum, students are taught a variety of clinical skills such as taking vital signs, administering injections, collecting and preparing lab specimens, performing tests such as echocardiograms and much more. Rounding out PCI’s diverse program, students are also trained in business and administrative skills. Both lecture and hands-on training are delivered by experienced instructors.
Students could earn a Medical Assistant Diploma in as little as 10 months. Upon graduation, students should be well trained to seek entry-level employment at a wide range of medical facilities.
