Allegheny County and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania are currently under the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. PCI wanted to find a way to help local hospitals which not only host PCI students, but also employs PCI’s graduates. Over the last few days, PCI’s President, Dr. Patti Yakshe, has worked closely with Congressman Conor Lamb to find a way to help locally. Their partnership came to fruition yesterday when an Allegheny General Hospital (AGH) physician picked up essential medical supplies from PCI. Needed supplies included personal protection equipment (PPE), such as gloves and masks. PCI was also able to provide their 5 ventilators for use at AGH to help those experiencing the most severe symptoms. PCI is honored to help the medical community help others.
